Ms. Danielle Aikens - Founder/Artistic Director
Ms. Danielle has been dancing for 36 years and playing piano for 33 years. During that time she founded the Northeast Georgia School of Music and Dance which has allowed her to share her passion for music and dance and have a positive impact on hundreds of students over the last 16 years. She is proud that NEGSMD is the charter member of More Than Just Great Dancing affiliated studios for the state of Georgia.
Mr. Justin Holland - School Director
Mr. Justin is the School Director of NEGSMD and has been leading the team for the past 16 years. Former Stage Manager for Savoyards Light Opera in Atlanta, he has been involved in productions of the Pirates of Penzance, Fiddler on the Roof, Kismet and more. He is passionate about inspiring kids to be the best that they can be and teaching them to give back to community.
Mr. Aaron James - Hip-Hop
Mr. Aaron has danced all over the country for many artists, major & independent, and has appeared on many movies and tv shows as both an actor and dancer. Some of his credits include : Pharrell, Little Big Town, CMT Awards & Jacob Latimore. Aaron is a founding member of "Royal Flush" and has appeared on MTVs "America's Best Dance Crew", as well as music video's with T-Pain. Mr.Aaron loves being in the studio, inspiring kids to work their hardest and never give up.
Mr. TJ Pattillo - Guitar Instructor
Mr. TJ has been teaching guitar since 1996. He was a Spivey Hall scholarship recipient and has performed everywhere from restaurants to stadiums to television. He enjoys spending time with his family and playing in his band Midnight Rodeo. TJ teaches guitar to share his passion for the instrument with his students.
Ms. Kaitlyn Batchelor - Tap & Musical Theater
Ms. Kaitlyn Batchelor has been dancing for 19 years and performing in shows for 16 years. She recently received a BFA in Musical Theatre from Brenau University. She performed in many shows with the Gainesville Theatre Alliance including, The Producers, Guys & Dolls, Chicago, Oklahoma, The Great Gatsby, and Mary Poppins. She was most recently the assistant choreographer for Once On This Island at the Gainesville Theatre Alliance. She has had the opportunity to work alongside several Broadway alums and a former rockette, allowing her to gain valuable knowledge to share with her students. She looks forward to working with the students at Northeast Georgia School of Music and Dance and watching them grow as dancers, as well as helping them become the best performer they can be!
Mallory is a Vermont native who moved to Atlanta in 2012. She holds a B.A. in Theatre, Music and Non-Profit Management and is currently pursuing her M.S. in Nutrition. Since relocating to Atlanta, Mallory was been awarded a scholarship to Gotta Dance Atlanta and was named the Dance Canvas Drawing Board Choreographer for 2015. She has presented many works at Emerging: New Choreographers Workshop, Phazes of Love, Mad Expressions and Vybez Showcase. Mallory is the choreographer for Dad's Garage Theatre Company. She has performed with Gathering Wild Dance Company, Zoetic Dance Ensemble, Collective Dance Project, Dad's Garage Theatre Company, Fabrefaction Theatre Company and in the world premiere of Stepp Stewarts Cindy the Musical.
Ms. Mallory Hazen - Jazz & Contemporary
Ms. Suzi Phillips - Contemporary Instructor
Suzi has had a passion for dance ever since her first class 15 years ago. She began training in ballet, modern, and Jazz at Collins Hill High School and performed in several dance shows throughout the years. After graduating she continued training at North Georgia Academy of Dance and Weber State University in South Ogden, Utah. Northeast Ga School of Music and Dance has been her dance home for seven years and now shares her love of dance through teaching and encouraging students to express themselves with movement.
